From Lesson 1, we know that Rping stands for role playing, and that it should be done in past-tense, third person.
The young man walked alone in the dark.
Now we move on to Lesson 2: Inner dialog. Inner dialog is just a fancy way of referring to your character's thoughts. It's always good to include inner dialog in your posts, but the reader has to be able to tell the difference between thoughts and actions. Here is an example:
The young man walked alone in the dark. I hate the darkness he thought.
Confusing. The thought needs to be separated.
The young man walked alone in the dark. 'I hate the darkness.' he thought.
Much better, but remember the difference between saying something, "Death by monkeys" and thinking something, 'Oh no, not monkeys!'
The difference is when the character speaks, you use quotation marks, and when they think, you use apostrophes.
